Maddox Industrial Transformer is opening multiple new locations in Battle Ground, Washington to keep pace with rising demand for electrical transformers. Construction on a new office and warehouse began in January 2025, with a tentative move-in date set for August this year. Meanwhile, a new two-acre storage yard is already fully operational and filling up with transformers.
New Maddox Locations
Located just three blocks from Maddox’s original Battle Ground location, the new site significantly expands the company's local capacity. The building includes a 14,500 ft2 office space and a 12,500 ft2 warehouse. The nearby new two-acre outdoor yard has enough space to hold up to 400 padmount transformers.

The new warehouse will store everything from facility and equipment maintenance supplies to materials for local community events and company items for tradeshows.
Investing in the Battle Ground Community
Maddox is owned by brothers Camden and Mac Spiller, who shipped their first transformer out of their garage in Vancouver, WA just over a decade ago. Today, Maddox is the leading supplier of three-phase distribution transformers, with locations across the country.
"Battle Ground is home. My kids are 6th-generation Clark County folks, and it's where our families are putting down roots. We want the town to be a great place for employees to build their lives and careers," said Mac Spiller, CCO of Maddox. "Every time we expand here, we're investing in the community."
Designed to accommodate 55 employees, the new office space will add to Maddox's local workforce and bring new job opportunities to the area. Maddox was recently ranked the No. 8 fastest-growing private company in the Portland-Vancouver metro area and No. 16 in Washington state, and this expansion reflects the company's continued commitment to investing in the local communities, like Battle Ground, where it’s team lives and works.

More Transformer Capacity, Faster Delivery
Demand for transformers in the United States continues to climb as the rapid expansion of data centers and widespread electrification puts unprecedented pressure on an aging grid. The new Battle Ground locations mean more inventory on hand and shorter lead times for customers nationwide.
“We are thrilled to be adding even more resources to our Battle Ground footprint so that we can better serve our customers across the country. These new facilities will boost our ability to get people the transformers they need within the timeframe they need them,” said Mac Spiller.
Transformers for American Industry
Maddox provides new and remanufactured transformers (padmounts, substations, dry-types, polemounts) for commercial and industrial projects across all 50 United States. They have supplied transformers for some of the biggest data center and renewable energy projects in the country. You can find their transformers powering the lumber mills, manufacturing plants, and digital infrastructure that drives American industry.
